How To Network For Climate Change

Updated: Jul 20, 2021

Networking is a very important skill to have when creating a following and forming a support system while you are becoming a climate activist or broadening your horizons as an activist. Here are some tips to do so:

  1. Connect with other activists on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a great way to engage and connect with like-minded activists and people fighting for climate change. You can also join climate groups on LinkedIn to form a wider circle.

  2. Find organizations on social media. There are many wonderful social media pages that provide tips, tricks, and resources on climate change and how to get involved with the climate movement.

  3. Take a training. There are many climate trainings to take in which you can meet many climate activists. A popular (and free) training is the The Climate Reality Project training in which you can learn about climate change and meet other activists in the process.

  4. Find organizations. A fun and education way is to sign up for some organizations' newsletters and join their action networks. Search "Climate Change Networks and Organizations" to find out more about what they have to offer.
